Attitude n money

 A  staff room ..Presume a ladies' staff room of a B grade public school or a govt school ...Assuming the teachers there get justified pays so  all are at the same level and take home ENVIOUS PAYS .       But do they look silarly dressed???  Obviously NO !!!       You will find some teachers carrying latest branded purses with diamonds and many others using   duplicate brands n jewellery .   Their family income varies,  but is that THE ONLY REASON ???   No .!!!.... apart from family status , it's their approach towards money they earn .               Some earn for themselves i.e they keep an amount to maintain themselves . Others are worried about the blunt nails n edges of the benches that may tear the FRONT  of the  dress .....be it a Saree or suit or dupatta . Even shawls , stoles .              MEN ARE SAFE THAT WAY .   ...

I always liked to teach my friends . Rather I used to study by teaching my best friend .....Then TEACHING chose me . I became teacher without any effort . I tried to run away but was confusedwhere to go    On the other hand my parents , the people around me were VERY SURE  that nothing can b better than a teaching job . HENCE I M JUSTIFIEDWHEN I SAY ...TEACHING CHOSE ME .       My alma mater's Principal mam assured me a job . I didn't  hv to struggle . I came back in an atmosphere where I was a PRINCESS in school time ...apple of every eye . I stopped thinking of other things .    Teacher's  job is full of MULTITASKING  and I was an ALROUNDER so I got lost in my school's  science fairs , sports day , dance programs , morning assemblies and all that happens in a good public school , in the name of co curricularactivities. LIFE WAS GOING FINE ...

In middle class society Teaching job has come as a boon . It saves the parents of the girl from embarrassment of not educating their daughters and making her financially independent . They become parents with modern outlook; educating their daughters and making her independent .    The boy's  family is ecstatic  over a teacher bahu. She works half of the day and take care of her kids n family in second half.   Omg...OMG....Omg ......fed up of this .It took me 20 years of service and 15 years of marriage to understand that WOMAN SUFFERS IN THIS SETUP . She is handling two set of expectations.....of her workplace and of family . If she tries to b perfect in both SHE CRUMBLES ......yet no-one is happy or thankful .    Morale ...girls don't take teaching as a half day job . It has far more work ....mental n physiCal than an office job. Fòr few yeare it's challenging . After that you feel to have performed inadequately on both fronts     Tea...

Throw a stone and it hits some school or some teacher (tutor) . Surprisingly the way temples and babas are on rise , so are thr schools and teachers or tutors .STILL SO MANY UNEDUCATED (NOT ILLITERATE) PEOPLE ARE ROAMING IN DELHI.     After religion this is the best business . Mothers are sending toddlers for tuitions and 8 th pass are coaching them. Ridiculous......       It hurts every GENUINE TEACHER. Literacy is the frill every lower middle class or illiterate person wants to add to his or her child's  dress . They believe and work hard to buy that education n literacy . It pains to see how their dreams are being killed in schools . The BIGGEST SUFFERER IS THE CHILD . He has to listen to teacher and tutor both ....who try to prove themselves correct.  At times I feel the child STOPS TO LISTEN TO ANYONE ...which is very dangerous for his future .        Poor parents bring tutor to teacher if a child fails because they can't ...

Once I was appointed in a slum school. The classes were up to 8th  . I was just 22. Idealist ,loving ,full of hope to make a difference in the life of poor children ....   But in a few months I was shocked with the apathy most teachers had towards poor students . They had no love for them ...never intended to have ......    On teacher's  day , one student came with a small gift pack to me . She wanted to give it to me . I was touched with the gesture but there was a DILEMMA . Shall I accept it???       It could b a loving gesture but others can blame me at any time of the year for favouring that child OR it may encourage other students to bring gifts for me OR other teachers may feel offended  that students didn't  give them a gift....     The DILEMMA was confusing me but the love on her face seemed so pure ...... Still using my brain, I refused politely and told her that her thought of gift was itself a gift for me ... ...
